PBP is hiring two new facilitators for the groups that we run inside the Women’s Correctional Center in Chicopee as well as an Office Assistant for our new office!

  • The Childbirth Education Facilitator’s duties and responsibilities include facilitating a childbirth education group inside the Women’s Correctional Center in Chicopee, MA. This person will act as a liaison between program participants, organization members,volunteers and the community, and is responsible for some data management. This person is also responsible for connecting participants with doula care while incarcerated or after release and coordinating weekly with volunteers. This position is 4 hours per week under the supervision of one of our two Programs Co-Directors.

  • The Mothers Among Us Facilitator’s duties and responsibilities include co-facilitating a peer support group called “Mothers Among Us” (MAU) inside the Women’s Correctional Center in Chicopee, MA. This person will act as a liaison between program participants, organization members, and the community, and is responsible for some data management. This position is 4 hours per week under the supervision of one of our two Programs Co-Directors.

  • The Operations Assistant’s duties and responsibilities included but are not limited to: database management, fundraising and event support, financial data maintenance, postal mail processing, exchanging accurate information with vendors, members, and supporters on the phone, in-person, and through electronic communication, and other duties as asked. This position requires regular use of a computer, calculator, copy machine, printer, and other office machinery. This position requires occasional moving about inside the office, to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., however 90% of the work will be completed at a desk. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds to a height of 3-4 feet, in order to facilitate office management, is preferred. This position is 10 hours per week at our office in Holyoke under the supervision of the Director of Development within the Fundraising and Finance Sphere.
